My name is Elisa Halvorsen Castillo, I am a Chilean artist based in Norway. My practice has a multidisciplinary base, working with analog experimental techniques, I explore the malleability of memory as a dynamic reconstructive process rather than a rigid permanent recording of the past. Subject that interest me since I’ve experienced temporary memory lapses since a period of illness in my mid 20’s.
Combining photography with illustration, my artwork often converges in self-published printed publications, where I reflect on subjects such as nostalgia, sense of belonging and the alteration of perception caused by angst.
